Former CEO of crypto trading platform Bitsonic sentenced to 7 years in prison
According to Cointelegraph, former CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange platform Bitsonic, Jinwook Shin, was sentenced to seven years in prison by the Seoul District Court on February 6th. He was arrested on August 7th, 2023 and charged with fraud, forgery, and tampering with records. The former chief technical officer of Bitsonic was sentenced to one year in prison for stealing $7.5 million (100 billion won) worth of customer deposits.
