Meta Sets Up Team to Counter AI Abuse in European Parliament Elections
Meta, a leading AI firm, has announced plans to set up a team to prevent disinformation and abuse of generative AI in the European Parliament elections in June. The firm's Head of EU Affairs, Marco Pancini, stated that their team of experts will tackle misinformation, influence operations, and counter the risks surrounding the abuse of generative AI. Meta has also added three new partners in Bulgaria, France, and Slovakia to their current 26 independent fact-checking organizations across the European Union. Meta is working with other tech organizations like Microsoft and Google to develop advanced tools to detect misleading AI-curated content in the polls.
