Tether signs MOU with Uzbekistan NAPP to promote the development and adoption of stablecoins and digital asset tokenization
According to official sources, Tether has announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Agency of Project and Program Management (NAPP), responsible for cryptocurrency regulation and development in the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the aim of positioning Uzbekistan as a central hub for peer-to-peer and blockchain technology, exploring and promoting the development and adoption of blockchain technology, stablecoins, and digital asset tokenization in Uzbekistan, while stimulating economic growth and innovation in the region. It is reported that Tether will focus on supporting the development of Uzbekistan's legal framework and regulatory policies for cryptocurrency assets, promoting the development and implementation of Uzbekistan's digital currency, exploring the potential of asset tokenization mechanisms, and analyzing and improving Uzbekistan's digital currency payment infrastructure.
