Point72 Digital Asset Technology Director Terence Schofield announces departure
According to sources, Terence Schofield, the digital asset technology chief of Steve Cohen's Point72 asset management company, has recently left the hedge fund. Schofield joined Point72 in September 2022 from cryptocurrency asset management company Pantera Capital, where he served as chief technology officer. Prior to his departure, Michael Ashby, who led the implementation of Point72's digital asset strategy, resigned in November. Ashby joined Point72 in November 2022 from Meraki Global Advisors at a time when Cohen's hedge fund was expanding its cryptocurrency business, but the industry was in a bear market.
