domo: BRC-20 is about to be upgraded, supporting only the deployer’s own Mint operation and 5-character token name.
Domo, the creator of the BRC-20 protocol and founder of the Layer1 Foundation, announced on X platform that the proposal for BRC20 release and enhanced destruction is about to be implemented. It is expected to be upgraded at block height 837090. At that time, BRC20 will only allow the deployer to participate in the casting and issuance of assets with 5-byte code after asset deployment, in order to isolate existing assets.
