Both Bitcoin and Ethereum options trading volumes hit new highs in March, and CME futures open interest rose to a record high of $11.7 billion.
According to data from TheBlock Pro, as reported by Jinse Finance, both Bitcoin and Ethereum options trading reached historic highs on March 29th. Bitcoin options trading reached a new high of $46.75 billion, an increase of 18.5%, while Ethereum options trading reached a new high of $20.99 billion, an increase of 23.6%. However, open interest for Bitcoin options in March saw a decline of 1.9%, and Ethereum holdings also decreased by 6.6%.
Additionally, March saw Ethereum futures monthly trading volume rise to $893.8 billion, an increase of 60.9%, while CME Bitcoin futures open interest grew by 49.5% to reach a new high of $11.7 billion. Daily average volume also increased by 114.8% to approximately $6.8 billion, also a historic high.
