JPMorgan Chase: Doubtful of SEC Approval of Solana and Other Cryptocurrency ETFs
JPMorgan predicts that the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will not approve other cryptocurrency ETFs after the spot Ethereum ETF. JPMorgan Managing Director and Global Market Strategist Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou said that given the SEC's view that most cryptocurrencies are securities, the investment bank doubts whether the SEC will approve such funds. Of course, unless US decision-makers ultimately legislate that most cryptocurrencies are not securities, the SEC may approve other cryptocurrency ETFs, Panigirtzoglou said. But he said there is currently no such legislation.
