Fantom: Opera's upgrade to Sonic has officially started
Fantom officially announced that the existing Opera chain upgrade has reached the necessary 66% consensus level, indicating its official launch. The release date is consistent with the expected date set at the beginning of the Sonic testnet phase in October last year, and the project has progressed smoothly without any delays.Opera is now expected to achieve the following goals: approximately 2000 TPS (about 1 second determinacy) for variable/mixed/complex transactions, approximately 4000 TPS (about 1.3 second completion) for token swap transactions, and approximately 10000 TPS (about 1.6 second completion) for token transfer transactions. The storage requirements for validator nodes are reduced by approximately 66%, and the operating costs for archival nodes are reduced by approximately 95%.
