Bloomberg ETF Analyst: US Spot Ethereum ETF May Be Launched at the End of June
Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas stated that a US spot Ethereum ETF may be launched in June following updates from BlackRock and Grayscale.
Balchunas stated that the spot Ethereum ETF is likely to launch at the end of June, and the possibility of it launching in mid-June is "small". The latest possible date for the product to go public is expected to be July 4th.
Balchunas' expectations are influenced by the timing of the issuer's S-1 statement. He commented on BlackRock's revised S-1 on May 29th, noting that it did not include fees and other important data - making it close to the final version.
Grayscale also submitted an S-3 amendment for its fund on May 30th, updating the fund and explicitly prohibiting pledging. These two statements mark one of the final necessary steps before these funds begin trading.
