Coinbase CEO calls on crypto community to vote out anti-crypto politicians
On June 4th, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong called for advocating for political candidates who support cryptocurrency and removing incumbents who oppose it in order to fight for regulatory clarity in the cryptocurrency industry. Armstrong outlined two main ways to achieve regulatory clarity: creating new precedents through the courts and passing new legislation through Congress. In response to the difficulties posed by the current political climate, Armstrong called for bipartisan efforts to elect candidates who support cryptocurrency and remove politicians who oppose it. Armstrong emphasized that with 52 million Americans holding digital assets, the cryptocurrency community is an important and diverse group of voters.
