TikTok released a new AI-powered tool called Symphony Avatars. The AI-generated avatars are part of TikTok Symphony, a suite of AI-powered advertising solutions. The tool provides businesses and content creators with two types of super-realistic avatars.

Additionally, the short-form video platform released Symphony AI Dubbing, an AI-powered translation and dubbing tool that covers more than ten languages and dialects.
TikTok Symphony has two types of avatars and AI dubbing
TikTok Symphony provides businesses and content creators with two types of avatars. The first type, Stock Avatars, are pre-developed, created by paid actors, and available for commercial use. The second type, Custom Avatars, enables brand representatives and content creators to speak multiple languages.

The new AI-powered avatars help businesses and content creators reach new followers worldwide through language dubbing features. Creators can use their likeness to build a multilingual avatar to reach new audiences and nationalities. Brands can build a custom avatar or use the likeness of their spokesperson or creator partner. The popular social media platform said,
“Stock Avatars allow businesses of all sizes to add a human touch to their content with quick and accessible global creators from a diverse range of backgrounds, nationalities, and over 30 languages.”

The Symphony AI creative suite has another tool named Symphony AI Dubbing . It enables creators and marketers to translate their content into more than ten languages and dialects, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Thai, and Korean. Symphony AI Dubbing detects the spoken language in the video, transcribes, translates, and generates a new dubbed video with the chosen language. Any video that uses AI-powered avatars or AI-dubbing will be labeled as AI-generated. TikTok did not reveal the pricing of their AI advertising and marketing tools.
A TikTok user gave positive feedback on an avatar video, saying he “waited an age for this stuff.” Another user did not like TikTok AI avatars since they’re so realistic . Another user commented on the video, saying, “This is MESSED UP.”
