Arbitrum STEP Committee initiates discussion on proposal to inject 35 million ARB into RWA ecosystem
According to the official governance forum, the Arbitrum STEP committee has initiated discussions on a proposal to inject DAO treasury funds into the RWA field. The proposal states that in order to avoid excessive dispersion of funds, increase operational or default risks leading to principal losses, the committee has selected six products from the previously shared list of 17 candidates. The specific amount for each provider is mostly based on the existing asset management scale.The proposal suggests achieving a 1% diversification of treasury funds through RWA ecological growth each year, with the selected applicants and allocation amount (ARB) as follows: Securitize BUIDL - 11 million ARB; Ondo USDY - 6 million ARB; Superstate USTB - 6 million ARB; Mountain USDM - 4 million ARB; OpenEden TBill - 4 million ARB; Backed Finance bIB01 - 4 million ARB.The snapshot vote for the proposal is scheduled for July 1st (Monday) and a comment period of approximately 10 days will be reserved.
