Schroder Capital and Hannover Re launch blockchain ILS pilot
Schroder Capital and Hannover Reinsurance have launched a blockchain ILS pilot program aimed at enhancing the investment and management of insurance-linked securities (ILS). It is reported that Schroder Capital joined the Singapore Financial Management Bureau's "Guardian Plan" last year and participated in the first pound digital bond issued by the European Investment Bank. This time, it cooperated with Hannover Reinsurance. The plan has been tested internally by Schroder and has successfully tokenized reinsurance contracts and traded them on a public blockchain platform using smart contracts.
