Fox reporter: US CFTC Chairman is willing to put the crypto market under CFTC jurisdiction
Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett stated that US Senator Roger Marshall discussed the power struggle between the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in determining which digital assets are securities and which are commodities. Marshall asked CFTC Chairman Rostin Behnam, "Wouldn't it be simpler if we put the whole thing under the jurisdiction of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission?" Behnam replied, "I am speaking for myself, but I am happy to do so. I think we have the expertise and ability." He said, "Under this system, there needs to be some changes in the definition of securities and commodities."
