Hong Kong legislator proposes to set up Web 3.0 industry committee
Hong Kong Democratic Alliance for the Betterment and Progress of Hong Kong (DAB) Legislative Councillor, Mr. Chan Chung-nee, suggested that the HKSAR Government should strengthen the construction of Web 3.0 infrastructure, improve the compliance and regulatory framework in the field of Web 3.0 encrypted digitization, and set up a Web 3.0 industry committee to formulate industry norms and standards, and enhance the training of practitioners. According to Mr. Chan, Hong Kong should be an early adopter in the Web 3.0 sector and conduct risk monitoring and early warning of the Web 3.0 market through technical means such as big data and artificial intelligence.
