The White House and Harris' advisors listened to the opinions of executives in the cryptocurrency industry but made no promises
On Thursday local time, a group of cryptocurrency industry executives held a phone meeting with White House officials and advisors to Vice President Kamala Harris, offering their opinions on the policy stance for cryptocurrency issues set by the Democratic presidential candidate. The industry executives expressed their concerns about crypto policies. According to informed sources, neither the White House representatives nor Harris's advisors made any commitments. Participants in the call included top executives from Coinbase, Ripple, Kraken, Circle as well as venture capitalists Mark Cuban, Chris Dixon and Ron Conway. Deputy Chief of Staff Bruce Reed at the White House; National Economic Advisor Lael Brainard; Deputy Secretary of Treasury Wally Adeyemo; and Kristine Lucius who is Senior Advisor to Vice President and Director of Legislative Affairs also participated in the call.
