Revolut is now integrated into Ledger Live as a buy provider, expanding Europe’s crypto payment options. This new partnership allows Revolut users to purchase cryptocurrencies directly through Ledger Live.

Pascal Gauthier, Chairman and CEO of Ledger, told us that:

Cryptocurrency is inevitable, and allowing people to buy and sell digital assets securely and with self-custody is paramount as more people enter the market.”

With Revolut now a buy provider on Ledger Live, users can convert their fiat currency into crypto without having to give up control of their assets.

Users can now buy crypto directly through Ledger Live using their Revolut account, bypassing additional ID checks, making the process faster. The integration combines Revolut’s established payment platform with Ledger’s industry-leading hardware security.

Across Europe, payment preferences are change, but it’s not a one-size-fits-all situation. Take France, for example. Right now, digital wallets are leading the charge in e-commerce, while cards still dominate retail transactions.

Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) options are also climbing the ranks, especially among younger consumers. But the gap is closing, and the next few years could see digital wallets overtaking cards as the top choice for online payments.

In a 2021 survey, digital wallets were preferred by 44% of European consumers for online payments, closely rivaling card usage at 42%.
