Marinade staking auction market is now live, allowing validators to bid for staking to increase stakers’ APY
Solana's ecosystem liquidity staking protocol Marinade announced that its staking auction market (Stake Auction Marketplace, SAM) has officially entered the second phase. As the core component of Marinade v2 upgrade, SAM aims to increase stakers' annualized return rate (APY) by allowing validators to bid on staking.Validators bid on stakers' SOL deposits through SAM, and the more staking amount, the more additional rewards such as priority fees they receive. Stakers obtain additional rewards through validators' bidding, realizing the mechanism of transferring additional rewards originally available only to validators to stakers. It is expected that by the end of August, stakers' APY will catch up with the winning APY of the auction.
