Shiba Inu lead developers plan to transition project control
In a significant development for Shiba Inu, lead developers Shytoshi Kusama and Kaal Dhairya announced plans to transfer full control of the project to its community by the end of this year.
This decision is part of their broader goal to achieve "true decentralization," in line with the original vision of Shiba Inu's (CRYPTO:SHIB) founder, Ryoshi.
Shytoshi Kusama, who has been instrumental in Shiba Inu's growth since Ryoshi's departure, explained that the transition is not about stepping away but empowering the community.
Kusama emphasized that they plan to hand over everything to the community by the year’s end, ensuring that the project remains driven by its members rather than central leadership.
Kaal Dhairya echoed this sentiment, reflecting on their journey from regular community members to leaders of the Shiba Inu project.
Dhairya noted that their anonymity has been a strategic advantage, allowing them to engage with the community authentically and gather genuine feedback critical for the project's development.
This anonymity has been a key part of their approach, reinforcing the project's focus on community rather than individual leadership.
As the developers prepare to step down, the transition will test Shiba Inu's decentralized model, empowering the community to take on governance and drive the project’s future.
The shift aims to leverage the collective intelligence of the community to advance the adoption of Web3 technologies, moving beyond traditional Web2 frameworks.
Kusama highlighted the importance of the community, stating that the strength of Shiba Inu lies in its members, not in any single individual.
He emphasized that the project's success is a testament to the power of the community and the viral appeal of its brand, rather than any personal influence.
At the time of writing, Shiba Inu (SHIB) was trading at $0.00001315.
