Analyst: The chances of Solana ETF getting approved in the United States are slim to none, with hopes resting solely on Trump's election victory
On August 21, Bloomberg senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas posted on X saying: "Unless there is a change in the leadership of the U.S. government, the chances of Solana ETF getting approved are slim." Balchunas also added: "The chance of approval in 2024 is almost zero, and if Harris wins, the chance in 2025 may also be close to zero. My only hope is for Trump to win." Previously, insiders revealed that the US SEC rejected two Solana spot ETF 19b-4 applications submitted by CboeBZX. Therefore, these applications have been withdrawn from the Cboe website. Some people speculate that SEC even rejected these applications before formal review because regulators are "worried" about Solana being classified as securities.
