BNS: Will provide users with exclusive discounts, allowing them to obtain new names for free on Basenames
The Base Name Service (BNS) announced on platform X, "With the launch of Basenames, the Base Name Service (BNS) is gradually shutting down to ensure that every Base user can obtain a unified name service and on-chain identity experience. We have been working closely with the Base team to maximize benefits for existing users. As part of this, we have agreed to offer exclusive discounts for all users. By simply connecting the same wallet containing BNS names, users can more easily get new names for free on the Basenames platform. Note: All discounts will apply after the Dutch auction period and will be launched 36 hours later." Yesterday's news reported that Jesse Pollak, head of the Base protocol stated on platform X: "Let me emphasize: Basenames belong to everyone. That's why we started with a 36-hour full-chain Dutch auction at first to ensure they won't all be bought by bots."
