Stacks: The anticipated Nakamoto upgrade could reduce transaction processing time to a few seconds, promoting interaction with DeFi applications
Stacks announced on X that the current Stacks transaction processing time is approximately 10 minutes, severely limiting the development of its DeFi applications.
The upcoming Nakamoto upgrade will completely change this situation by significantly reducing block time and potentially revolutionizing Bitcoin's DeFi ecosystem. After the upgrade, user interaction time with existing protocols will be reduced from minutes to seconds, greatly improving user experience, supporting high-volume use cases, and eliminating restrictions on complex DeFi strategies. For example, currently time-consuming operations such as minting liquidity Stacking tokens, depositing into DeFi applications, collateral lending etc., will become much faster.
In summary, the Nakamoto upgrade will promote rapid interaction between users and DeFi applications support implementation of DeFi strategies requiring fast block confirmation and attract more developers to build high-throughput applications on Bitcoin.
