According to Foresight News, EigenLayer announced the official launch of the permissionless token support feature on the mainnet, which will enable any ERC-20 token to be added as a re-pledged asset, including native AVS tokens, stablecoins, and BTC-denominated tokens. The user interface supporting re-pledge will be added later in the third quarter. AVS is now able to customize its crypto-economic security profile and can choose to allocate work and rewards to various tokens supported by EigenLayer operators.
