Jupiter Joint Creation: The key to a successful DAO budget lies in risk limitation and human responsibility

Jupiter Joint Creation: The key to a successful DAO budget lies in risk limitation and human responsibility

BlockBeats news, on August 27th, Jupiter co-founder Meow posted on social media saying, "I believe the key to a successful DAO budget is not complex technical tools or restrictive KPIs, even though these are the first two things we instinctively think of and seek.

Instead, I have more faith in traditional risk limitation and human responsibility.

1. Risk Limitation - Limit losses by gradually reclaiming and releasing funds in stages. Prioritize those community members who have strong work proof within the community. The budget scope should be limited small enough that even if a certain budget completely fails, the damage to the system is limited and we can learn from it.

2. Human Responsibility - Ensure that recipients of budgets clearly convey their intentions before funds are released and publicly reflect after sufficient time has passed with clear results. If responsibilities are unclear, DAO has the right to stop future financial support.

Why? By using risk limitation and responsibility instead of rigid systems and random KPIs (people often promise random things under pressure), we can provide more flexibility, operational space as well as empathy capability.

Although I understand all skepticism related to anything about DAO budgets (given abuses in this field), I still optimistically believe that we can focus on people's positive potential.

Ultimately, a good DAO and community is not made up of code or money but people; good solid people whom we must trust have our best intentions at heart.

Without trust there would be no possibility for joint efforts to grow together through PPP because negativity will dominate along with various demands. Therefore we choose to believe in goodness of humanity as well as goodwill among peers—of course based on solid risk limitations measures along with strict accountability."
