On August 29, Forbes reporter Eleanor Terrett published an article on the X platform stating that U.S. SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said she bears some responsibility for how the agency interprets the Howey Test in terms of cryptocurrencies. Peirce stated: "To a certain extent, this is my fault. What I could have done differently is to help improve legal clarity... This serves as a warning to other regulatory agencies. I believe there's much work to be done by both the SEC and the entire industry."
