Lava founder: It is estimated that there are about 400 "second-layer" solutions running on the Bitcoin chain
On August 30th, according to Protos, Lava founder Shehzan stated that there are an estimated 400 "second layer" solutions running on the Bitcoin blockchain. Shehzan pointed out on the August 25th "Gwart Show" that the actual value of these roll-ups and alternative blockchains is questionable. Some people believe that the number of such projects is only 80 to 85, while others estimate more than 1,000. The difference in estimates is so large because anyone can "roll-up" data and broadcast a tiny hash to any miner, creating a "Bitcoin second layer" technically. Among these second layer solutions, many are simple clones of Ethereum roll-ups, mainly processing data on centralized servers outside the Bitcoin network and regularly broadcasting state hashes to the Bitcoin block.
