The a16z Game Fund is open for startup incubation applications, with selected entries receiving an investment of $750,000
On September 4th, Andrew Chen, the head of a16z's Games Fund One, announced on social media that "we will invest $30 million in the next 30 days. I will co-host our new project with members from the a16z SPEEDRUN team in San Francisco in January 2025. The project will include guest speakers, personalized coaching and substantial financial support. Applications are now open until September 30th. a16z focuses on brand-new startups including B2B/infrastructure startups specializing in AI, 3D, game engines etc., and game studios focusing on Web3, VR, AI, Discord etc.. Each selected startup can receive an investment of $750k along with a twelve-week course guidance (from January 6 to March 21st ,2024), which includes offline speeches, office hours,personalized coaching and activities."
