EigenLayer, the re-stake protocol that launched and airdropped its token in April, has announced the second season of its airdrop, dubbed “stakedrop.”
EigenLayer has announced the distribution of 86 million EIGEN tokens to stakeholders including stakers, node operators, ecosystem partners, and community members.
It was stated that the airdrop targets participants who are active between March 15 and August 15, and requests will begin to be received on September 17.
It was stated that users who staked Ethereum (ETH) or EIGEN between March 15 and August 15 were eligible to participate in the airdrop.
“The Eigen Foundation is excited to announce the EIGEN Season 2 Stakedrop!
As we get closer to unlocking the EIGEN token, this stakedrop recognizes and rewards the incredible contributors and participants who support us.
This season, EIGEN tokens will be distributed across three primary categories:
Stakers and Operators: Active stakers during Season 2 Ecosystem Partners: AVSs, LRTs, Rollups, RaaS providers, and other key contributors Community Members: Early advocates, contributors, and projects that play a key role in supporting EigenLayer
Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States, announced that it would also list pre-launch tokens that have not yet been released on its platform and announced that the EIGEN token would be listed first before launch.
