Opinion: BTC has surpassed the US stock market since it decoupled from the dollar and gold in terms of trading time
The current trading time of Bitcoin exceeds 123,000 hours, surpassing the U.S. stock market's trading hours since the dollar and gold were decoupled. Since August 15, 1971, President Nixon implemented the decoupling of the dollar from gold to deal with high inflation in the American economy, cancelling international exchange between dollars and gold. The U.S. stock market has been open for over 100,700 hours since then. However, Bitcoin which was launched in 2009 has officially surpassed the US stock market in terms of trading time by nearly 25% more than public stock trading times during a fully fiat currency era.
