These Altcoins Have Much More Users Than PEPE – But Why?
According to Onchain data, the user numbers of these altcoins are much higher than even that of one of the largest memecoins, PEPE.
According to Onchain data, the number of users of some tokens on Toncoin (TON), one of the most talked about altcoin ecosystems of recent times, attracts attention.
The five largest tokens in the TON ecosystem, TON has 19.39 million on-chain addresses, USDT has 1.54 million, CATI has 1.09 million, NOT has 2.86 million, and DOGS has 5 million on-chain addresses.
For comparison, PEPE, one of the largest memecoins in the Ethereum ecosystem, has only 280 thousand on-chain addresses, which shows the superiority of tokens in the TON ecosystem in terms of the number of users.
However, the messaging app Telegram, which is probably the big force behind Toncoin, plays a role in reaching this number of users. A significant portion of these tokens are used as memecoins and game tokens, and these games can also be played on Telegram.
In addition, on the USDT side, Telegram recently launched an innovation where users can send USDT to each other directly from within the application. This may be the main factor in the large number of addresses.
