The open interest and trading volume of Bitcoin and Ethereum options in September have generally declined
Data shows that in September, both Bitcoin and Ethereum options saw a general decline in open interest and trading volume. Specifically, the open interest of Bitcoin options fell by 1.6%, while that of Ethereum options also dropped, with a decrease of 8.4%. In terms of trading volume for Bitcoin and Ethereum options, the monthly trading volume for Bitcoin reached $38.6 billion, down by 28.1%; whereas the trading volume for Ethereum was $9.7 billion, plummeting as much as 37.5%. Additionally, the average monthly trading volume for Ethereum futures in September decreased to $465.5 billion, falling by 20.8%. Meanwhile at CME Group (Chicago Mercantile Exchange), the open interest for Bitcoin futures increased by 14.3% to reach $10.3 billion; however its daily average transaction amount declined by 4.7%, reducing to approximately $4.8 billion.
