Donald Trump Promised to Commute Ulbricht’s Sentence on Day One if Elected
This isn’t the first time Donald Trump has voiced support for Ross. Earlier this year, during the Libertarian National Convention, the former US President promised to commute Ross Ulbricht’s sentence on day one if elected.
In a previous post on X , Ulbricht expressed his gratitude to Trump for the promise to commute his sentence. “Last night, Donald Trump pledged to commute my sentence on day one if reelected. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. After 11 years in prison, it’s hard to put into words how I feel right now. It’s because of your unwavering support that I may have a chance at a new beginning,” Ulbricht wrote.
Many believe that Ross’s sentence is disproportionate to his charges and that he deserves clemency. Billionaire venture capitalist Tim Draper is among those who have advocated for Ross’s release for many years. Donald Trump, who has made a u-turn on his stance on the crypto before the upcoming Presidential elections, presents a hope for Ross Ulbricht and his supporters.
