Mt. Gox: Payout deadline will be extended by one year to October 31, 2025
On October 10th, Mt. Gox official announced today that the bankruptcy administrator has basically completed the compensation work for the bankruptcy creditors who have completed the necessary procedures for receiving the repayment and have not encountered any problems in the repayment process. However, many bankruptcy creditors have not yet completed the necessary procedures to receive reimbursement and therefore have not yet received reimbursement; in addition, due to various problems in the reimbursement process, a considerable number of bankruptcy creditors have not yet received reimbursement for the time being. In order to make payments to these bankruptcy creditors as reasonably as possible, the Receiver changed the deadline for making payments from October 31, 2024 (Japan Standard Time) to October 31, 2025 (Japan Standard Time) with the permission of the Court.
