Argentina’s capital launches blockchain-based digital identity for 3.6 million residents
On October 23, the Argentine capital Buenos Aires announced the implementation of blockchain and zero-knowledge encryption technology for the release of digital identities. According to local media reports, the government disclosed on October 21 that the decentralized identity solution Quark ID has been integrated into its miBA digital platform, which is the platform used by the city to access government services and documents.
Since October 1, more than 3.6 million active miBA users have received decentralized digital identities (DID) protected by Quark ID, a digital identity protocol built by Web3 company Extrimian. The Quark ID wallet is supported by ZKsyncEra.
