OpenAI discusses plans to introduce advertising into its AI products
According to a report by the Financial Times, OpenAI is discussing plans to introduce advertising to its artificial intelligence products as the ChatGPT developer seeks new sources of revenue. Sarah Friar, the CFO of the $150 billion AI startup, told the Financial Times that the company is considering an ad model and added that they plan to proceed cautiously when and where they implement advertising.
The San Francisco-based company raised $6.6 billion in October and is reportedly recruiting advertising talent from large tech companies such as Meta and Google, according to multiple sources and analysis of LinkedIn accounts by the Financial Times.
