Trust Wallet has addressed a glitch that caused users' token balances to disappear intermittently, leading to frustration among its community members.

On December 21, 2023, several Trust Wallet users reported on social media that their balances would randomly disappear and reappear.

One user expressed concern about the issue, stating that it felt like a heart attack when their balance vanished.

At 6:45 AM UTC, Trust Wallet acknowledged the problem, which was affecting BNB (CRYPTO:BNB) and Trust Wallet token (TWT) balances.

The company later confirmed that other tokens were also impacted by the glitch.

However, they assured users that their funds were safe despite the technical issues.

By 8:05 AM UTC, Trust Wallet posted an update confirming that the glitch had been fixed.

"Hey Trust Fam, no more glitches! The issue has been resolved and everything should be working properly now. Thanks for your understanding," the company wrote.

While the glitch caused confusion and panic among some users, it occurred at a time when crypto security concerns were heightened.

According to data from Chainalysis, crypto thieves stole $2.2 billion in 2024, with the majority of the thefts linked to hackers from North Korea.

In 2024, the crypto space saw a significant increase in security breaches, including the WazirX (CRYPTO:WRX) hack, which resulted in a $235 million loss.

Despite these security incidents, Trust Wallet reassured its users that their funds were not at risk.

The company’s prompt response to fix the glitch emphasises its commitment to resolving issues swiftly and keeping user funds secure.
