Vitalik Buterin adopted Moo Deng, a pygmy hippopotamus, and donated 10 Million THB to Thailand’s Khao Kheow Open Zoo, the zoo announced on their official X account.
The Ethereum co-founder joined the Wildlife Sponsorship Program, resulting in the surge in the MOODENG meme coin price.
The donation will be made in two installments, according to Vitalik’s statement. The first installment will be completed today, December 26, with the remaining 500,000 THB expected to be made within a year.

MOO DENG (moodeng.vip) reached a market cap of $92.63M, reflecting a 78.60% increase, according to CoinMarketCap data.
