Dutch regulator issues EU MiCA crypto-asset licenses to four firms
On January 6th, MoonPay, BitState, FinTech ZBD, and Hidden Road have been awarded the "Cryptocurrency Asset Service Provider License" (CASP) by the Dutch Financial Markets Authority (AFM), allowing them to operate in all 27 EU member states. MiCA requires companies to obtain a CASP license from any member state to operate throughout the EU. In addition, Socios.com also announced that it has been awarded the Virtual Financial Assets Act (VFAA) Class 3 license by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). Meanwhile, the UK will also add GSR Markets to its cryptocurrency registration list by the end of 2024.
