Spot Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) experienced a notable surge in net inflows, attracting nearly $1.9 billion in total between January 3 and January 6, after a period of lower demand in December.

On January 6 alone, Bitcoin ETFs drew in $978.6 million, with Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund leading the pack, securing $370.2 million.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin ETF followed with $209 million, and ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF raised $153 million.

Other ETFs like Bitwise Bitcoin ETF and Grayscale’s two spot Bitcoin ETFs, GBTC and BTC, saw over $70 million in inflows.

Despite the strong performance, some ETFs, such as those from Invesco, Valkyrie, and WisdomTree, did not record any inflows on January 6.

The latest influx of funds nearly reversed the impact of $1.9 billion in outflows observed from December 19 to January 2.

The recent gains have helped spot Bitcoin ETFs accumulate $36.9 billion in net inflows since their launch nearly a year ago.

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin ETF leads the pack with $37.4 billion in net inflows, followed by Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund at $12.4 billion.

On the other hand, Grayscale’s GBTC has experienced $21.4 billion in outflows.

While demand has predominantly come from retail investors, as indicated by a report from cryptocurrency exchange Binance, analysts anticipate increased institutional involvement in 2025.

Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer of Bitwise, predicts that more clearinghouses for spot Bitcoin ETF trading will encourage institutional participation, contributing to a bullish Bitcoin price outlook for the year.

Bitwise is forecasting a potential Bitcoin price of $200,000 in 2025, while VanEck is predicting it could exceed $180,000.

At the time of reporting, the Bitcoin (BTC) price was $101,705.
