Trump has yet to nominate successor to CFTC chairman
as disclosed by Reuters, Trump has not yet nominated a successor to the current chairman of the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Rostin Behnam, who announced earlier that he will resign on January 20, the day Trump is inaugurated as president. This means that there may be a period of "gap" in the regulatory agency. Behnam has led the CFTC for four years, during which the most famous action was the crackdown on the cryptocurrency exchange Binance's violation of anti-money laundering laws, which ultimately led to one of the largest corporate penalties in history and caused Binance CEO CZ to step down.
