Fetch.ai, a blockchain-based artificial intelligence company, has launched a $10 million accelerator program aimed at supporting startups focused on AI agents, quantum computing, and high-performance technologies.

This initiative is part of Fetch.ai's Innovation Lab, which operates in San Francisco, London, and India.

The accelerator seeks to bridge the gap between research and practical applications by providing funding, mentorship, and access to advanced technologies.

“Agents will not only redefine how we build software but also serve as the execution layer for modern technologies,” stated Humayun Sheikh, CEO of Fetch.ai.

The program will feature boot camps, workshops, and specialised lectures in collaboration with esteemed institutions like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Web.lab.

Startups accepted into the program will benefit from tailored support using Fetch.ai’s proprietary AI agent technologies, which enable actionable insights from AI models.

“Traditionally, APIs have been the primary mechanism for integrating technologies. However, agents will increasingly replace APIs,” explained Sheikh, enhancing task execution and software interaction.

The accelerator will host year-round programs and innovation competitions to ensure ongoing support for participating startups.

Sana Wajid, chief development officer at Fetch.ai Innovation Labs, emphasised the lab's commitment to nurturing young talent through its Internship Incubator Program while providing early-stage funding.

Wajid noted that the lab aims to prepare the next generation of innovators by partnering with international hubs and research organisations.

Despite excitement around AI agents, some industry voices express scepticism about their long-term viability.

Condz, founder of Acolyte AI, remarked that while 2025 may be significant for AI agents, they could also represent a bubble if viewed solely through a speculative lens.

Fetch.ai's accelerator program is now open for applications as it seeks to empower startups to transform their innovative concepts into market-ready solutions.
