Finland’s Nasdaq Helsinki Welcomes Virtune’s 5 Crypto ETPs: BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, and Altcoins
- Virtune has made history in Northern Europe by listing Bitcoin, XRP, and ETH ETPs.
- The products will be listed on the Finnish Nasdaq Helsinki.
Virtune, a leading Swedish regulated crypto asset manager, has successfully listed five crypto exchange-traded products (ETPs) in Finland’s Nasdaq Helsinki. The products include top cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP , Solana (SOL), and altcoins.
The launch marks a key milestone for Finland as it represents the nation’s first crypto ETPs. It is also the biggest crypto ETP launch on a regulated market in northern Europe’s Nordic nations like Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
Crypto ETPs Expose Finnish Investors to Crypto
Leveraging established financial instruments, the funds make investing in crypto directly in the Euro easier for Finnish investors. Finland has a flourishing ETP market of approximately €20.5 billion ETP (over $21 billion). However, the new launch will expand the market to include crypto opportunities for local investors while utilizing their existing brokerage accounts.
Virtune noted in a press release that the five different ETPs are all physically backed and fully collateralized. The ETPs actively draw liquidity support from leading global market maker Flow Traders. These measures guarantee tight spreads, ensure smooth, reliable trading volumes, and enhance investor confidence. Moreover, Coinbase is the custodian, ensuring maximum security for investors.
These five euro-denominated ETPs include Virtune Bitcoin ETP (VIRBTCE), which provides exposure to Bitcoin, and Virtune Staked Ethereum ETP (VIRETHE). The latter gives investors exposure to Ethereum combined with staking benefits.
There is also a Virtune XRP ETP (VIRXRPE), which gives exposure to XRP and Virtune Staked Solana ETP (VIRSOLE). Besides providing exposure to Solana, Virtune Staked Solana ETP includes staking benefits with an additional 3% annual return.
The 5th product, Virtune Crypto Altcoin Index ETP (VIRALTE), tracks 10 big altcoins, excluding Bitcoin and Ethereum. The product is rebalanced monthly, resetting the holdings to equal weight.
Investors can now access the ETPs through major Nordic financial institutions, including Nordnet and other established brokers.
Virtune’s launch of the crypto ETPs in Finland positions the company as a regulated crypto investment solutions leader. The asset manager is leading the way in making investments in crypto accessible, reliable, and mainstream.
Beyond Virtune: Growth in Europe’s ETPs
Virtune’s latest launch reinforces a broader surge in crypto ETPs across Europe. Industry experts attribute the surge to increasing interest from institutional and retail investors seeking regulated avenues to crypto exposure.
As outlined in our recent blog post, Bitwise Asset Management announced the listing of its new Bitwise Aptos Staking ETP on the Swiss Stock Exchange. The ETP fits Bitwise’s goal of providing European investors access to forward-looking blockchain projects.
In addition to this project, Bitwise announced a Solana Staking ETP in Europe. The product, which debuted on Germany’s Frankfurt Stock Exchange Xetra list, offers an annual percentage yield of 6.48% for stakers. As mentioned in our previous brief, this yield surpassed European competitors like 21Shares, which offers 5.49%.
These developments, among others, demonstrate the wide range of potential accessible in the European crypto ETP sector. Virtune’s ETP launch may pave the way for wider crypto adoption in the Nordic market.
