Analyst predicts $1T market for real-world assets in crypto
Analyst Pentoshi has forecasted significant growth in the cryptocurrency sector, particularly in the area of real-world asset (RWA) tokenisation.
In a recent post on social media platform X, he informed his 847,300 followers that the RWA market could reach a valuation of $1 trillion within the next decade or sooner.
Currently valued at under $40 billion, RWA involves tokenising assets like bonds and real estate on the blockchain, allowing for fractional ownership and making investments more accessible.
“Everything will be on the blockchain and tokenised. The foundation is already in place,” stated Pentoshi, expressing confidence in this trend.
He believes that the digitisation of traditional financial assets will enhance liquidity and accessibility for individual investors.
However, Pentoshi also highlighted challenges facing altcoins outside of Bitcoin, noting that many are struggling due to increased competition within the maturing crypto market.
“People wonder why altcoins are performing poorly this cycle… Now we are a multi-trillion dollar industry, and at least 25% of U.S. adults own it,” he remarked.
This fragmentation has made it more difficult for individual altcoins to gain traction.
Pentoshi advises adopting a long-term perspective regarding the crypto industry's future, emphasising that while progress may take time, it is happening rapidly.
“It may take longer than you think, but we are progressing at light speed,” he stated.
As the crypto landscape evolves and more individuals engage with RWAs, analysts expect substantial opportunities to emerge in this innovative sector.
