With the SEC’s tight grip on digital assets slowly subsiding under Trump, many are wondering if a full-blown alt-season is just around the corner.

Some of the people who seem to believe so are the ones running the “Altcoin Daily” X account, who recently published a new video on YouTube, sharing their thoughts on the best six altcoins to buy right now.

Leading the pack is XRP. In spite of a general market downturn, XRP attracted strong interest last week with $8.5 million in new investments. This surge is partly due to speculations about a potential XRP Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF), leading to year-to-date inflows of $161 million.

According to TheCryptoBasic , within two months of its launch, $RLUSD has reached a total supply of $120 million, driven by increased adoption. The supply has now increased to approximately $120.8 million.

Ondo Finance has been highlighted among the top institutional crypto coins, alongside BTC, ETH, and XRP. This recognition highlights Ondo’s rising prominence in linking traditional finance with blockchain.

Earlier this month, they announced the launch of Ondo Chain, a new Layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for institutional-grade Real World Assets (RWAs).

It’s worth mentioning that Ondo is backed by Founders Fund, Pantera Capital, and Coinbase.

Next up is Ethereum, the largest altcoin. Two days ago, Crypto Rover shared a chart , showing a second bullish cross for ETH. In addition, Bybit is restocking its reserves after the hack by buying big amounts of ETH worth almost $100 million.

Moreover, Donald Trump’s crypto company is actively accumulating ETH, holding assets valued at over $500 million.

Major Altcoin Moves Institutional Activity

Solana has bucked the recent market trend by attracting $8.9 million in new investments. This positive momentum is likely tied to growing anticipation around Solana-based ETFs, with multiple issuers seeking regulatory approval.

Cardano (ADA) is about to awaken Bitcoin DeFi, according to Charles Hoskinson, the co-founder of the Cardano blockchain platform. He said that $2 trillion of Bitcoin assets have no TLV (total value locked) right now, and that’s about to change as he explains during his talk on Mr. M’s podcast.

Lastly, SUPRA, an oracle built on its own Layer 1 blockchain, has seen notable price movement. After its token generation event and airdrop in late November 2024, the $SUPRA token surged to an all-time high of $0.07 before stabilizing near $0.05. The current price is $0.010, and this growth reflects increasing interest in SUPRA’s offerings in the decentralized finance space.

Market Risks Final Thoughts

Late last week, we saw the biggest crypto heist in history, when the Lazarus group stole $1.46 billion of Ethereum from Bybit. Usually, such attacks result in the crooks dumping the coins on the market, crashing the price in the process.

Do note that in general, most altcoins are on the Ethereum blockchain, which means this could also affect the price of some. As always, caution is advised.
