The UEFA Champions League is now in the quarter-final stage, and all eight teams left in the tournament have partnered with crypto companies.

Big clubs like Arsenal, Aston Villa, PSG, and Inter Milan have signed deals with Socios.com, a platform that deals with fan tokens. At the same time, crypto exchanges like Coinbase and Bitpanda are sponsoring Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, respectively.

The tournament has already seen some surprising exits. On March 11, Liverpool was knocked out after a penalty shootout loss to PSG. Arsenal also made headlines by defeating Real Madrid 3-0. Tonight’s matches will feature Barcelona facing Borussia Dortmund and PSG taking on Aston Villa at 5 pm ET.

Tonight, Barcelona will face Borussia Dortmund, and PSG will take on Aston Villa at 5 pm ET. The quarter-finals are packed with excitement, and at the same time, we can see how crypto sponsorships are becoming a big part of football, with sponsorships clearly visible across the teams still in contention.

The UEFA Champions League has seen a shift in its sponsors over the years. Crypto.com was the first official crypto sponsor of the tournament, inking a deal worth $495 million.

However, the company ended its sponsorship in 2022. Now, new crypto firms now in the spotlight, but the deal prices are not disclosed.

Nevertheless, it is obvious that crypto is increasingly engaging with football, and 23 of the 36 clubs in this year’s competition have some form of crypto partnership.
