U.S. stock markets open collectively lower
The three major U.S. stock indices opened collectively lower, with the Dow down 0.78%, the Nasdaq down 1.43%, and the S&P 500 down 1.01%. Large tech stocks fell across the board, with Nvidia and Amazon dropping more than 2%, and Tesla falling more than 4% as the company postponed plans to manufacture an affordable version of the Model Y in the U.S. Cryptocurrency-related stocks rose, with MicroStrategy up 2.4% and MARA up 1.4%.
