Trump again calls on Fed Chairman Powell to lower interest rates
President Trump called on Federal Reserve Chairman Powell to lower interest rates, saying Powell is always late except during elections. Trump said that with energy costs falling sharply, food prices falling sharply, and most other "things" showing a downward trend, there is almost no inflation. With these costs trending downward, as he himself predicted, it is almost impossible for inflation to occur, but the economy may slow down unless interest rates are lowered. European interest rates have been "lowered" seven times. Powell has always been "late" unless during elections, when he lowered rates to help Joe Biden get elected.
