according to The Block, Paul Atkins, the new chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), stated at his swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday that he will provide a clear regulatory foundation for digital assets, using a "rational, consistent, and principled" regulatory approach. This marks a significant shift in the direction of SEC regulation, contrasting sharply with the strict attitude of his predecessor, Gary Gensler. Atkins emphasized: "Under the helm of the SEC, I can confidently say that this is a new era." SEC has established a cryptocurrency working group, holding roundtable discussions aimed at bringing greater regulatory clarity to the cryptocurrency field.
