The cryptocurrency trader and investor known as "The Wolf of All Streets," Scott Melker, stated that he has learned someone is impersonating him to commit fraud, with at least one victim losing $4 million. On April 23, this crypto investor expressed his deep anger, saying, "I am extremely upset." He revealed that a private investigator contacted him, informing him that one of their clients was scammed out of $4 million by a Nigerian fraud group using his name and face as bait. "They have clearly swindled many people," Melker said, adding, "They even sent him a fake driver's license to prove it was me." They also used his avatar from the X platform as a photo. The fraudsters generated this fake ID using artificial intelligence and used a very convincing fake email account. "They also conducted video calls via Zoom, using AI to disguise identities," Melker added, "These tactics are evidently quite sophisticated." He also mentioned that the fraudsters even forged accounts of his wife and children to further confirm the identity.
