Ethereum Developers Propose Quadrupling Gas Limit for Fusaka Hard Fork
According to a report by Jinse, Ethereum developers have proposed increasing the Gas limit to 150 million during the Fusaka hard fork, as per Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 9678. The proposal was submitted by Sophia Gold from the Ethereum Foundation protocol support team on April 23. During the recent All Core Developers Execution (ACDE) meeting, discussions about raising the Gas limit as a "key feature" of Fusaka were ongoing, as mentioned by Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko in the meeting recap on April 24. "To unify client defaults and prioritize this, we've drafted the EIP. It's somewhat unusual, but not without precedent (see EIP-7840). We plan to merge this early next week and officially SFI it at the next ACDE," Beiko stated.
